The Manchester Film Festival closed its highly anticipated 10th-anniversary edition with its annual awards ceremony held on the closing night, Sunday, March 24th. The event showcased exceptional talent from around the globe, recognizing outstanding contributions to the world of cinema.

The festival celebrated its 10th anniversary with remarkable success, featuring sold-out screenings throughout the week. Attendance surged by an impressive 70% compared to previous years, with a per screen average of 102. Festival director Neil Jeram-Croft said “The growth of the festival continues to astound me and shows what an appetite there is for high quality films and shared experiences. The 2024 festival has further cemented Manchester as one of the best film festivals in the UK!.”

The festival concluded on a high note with three consecutive sold-out screenings of “Love Lies Bleeding,” further solidifying its status as a highlight in the city’s cultural calendar.
